I bought the Kindle DX so I can read my schools eBooks on it. Unfortunately, All the eBooks \ PDF files at UOP are protected! I searched everywhere for a guide that would help me get the books on to my new Kindle. I failed miserably and it began my obsession to create a process and a guide to bypass the copy protection.

Software you will need.

1. PdfFactory – is a printer driver.  This means you must print to it from your application, just as you would with any other printer.  Most applications have a Print dialog box command available in the File menu. 

1. Login to your UOP account and download the full version of the book you are taking for class.



 

2. Unlock the ebook with your UOP username and password.

 

 

3. Once unlocked print to the pdfFactory Pro driver \ printer..

 

4. Once done choose SAVE and name the file differently from the original.

 

 

5. Plug your Kindle into your PC and transfer your new unlocked Ebook to the kindle.

6. Read your ebook for your classes and with this method you will have full text search capabilities.
